About me

I am a phd student in computer science, working in the project group I5-DiaSpace of the SFB/TR-8 Spatial Cognition in Bremen, Germany.
The focus of my current work is on generating  route instructions for pedestrian indoor navigation. This includes theoretical work on the structural differences between car navigation and pedestrian indoor navigation, empirical studies, for example comparing the effects of different instruction types on wayfinding performance, and the implementation of a system for generating scene-based route instructions with flexible use of descriptive and prescriptive strategies.
I also do research on verbal human-computer interaction in spatial environments, and interpersonal semantics/pragmatics for human-robot dialogues.
