About me

Prof. Udo Frese is assistant professor for real-time computer vision at University of Bremen (Germany). His special interest is probabilistic
sensor fusion in particular simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). He contributed two highly efficient algorithms, an intuitive discussion and several theoretical results to that area. Recently he
also contributed to the area of probabilistic multi-target tracking with an algorithm that combines tracking and detection in a single
optimization exploiting the motion model to make detection more robust. He has demonstrated this algorithm in a collaboration project where a
humanoids robot catches two simultaneously thrown balls with both hands.

Interests

- real-time computer vision, probabilistic sensor fusion, simultaneous localization and mapping, sport robotics
